Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad

My parents celebrated 40 years of marriage this past Sunday. I see how the last 8 months have flown by for me and Steve but its still hard to fathom the next 40 years! We are truly blessed to have this mark to strive for in our own marriage and thank God for having parents who were willing to endure the good, the bad, and the 3 of us. We love you mom and dad, Happy Anniversary! We all spent a great evening at Murray's Dinner Playhouse for their anniversary. I think this is the first time all 8 of us have been together when its not a holiday or when someone's spouse isn't working. No kids, just grown ups.

Wrapping up...

the month of January! I can't believe its almost February!! This month has been a little crazy cuz I feel like I'm just working all the time. I went back to work part time at Grove & Co in October and tax season has started and it seems like real estate has picked up for me too, which is great. I'm not complaining, just a lil overwhelmed sometimes. But God is providing so much and we're so grateful!! Since my last post....

1.) Found out my good friend Leah is getting married!! yea! and the proposal was so sweet and I'm super excited for her!!

2.)I've gotten to see Anderson quite a bit and he's growing like a weed and is really getting a personality.

This is Anderson with Aunt Donna who we got to visit with some this week. We miss seeing her often, but we were happy to get together with the fam for lunch on Monday!

3.) Steve and I went to, get ready to be countryfied, the Big Buck Classic. It was "as seen on tv".
It was pretty neat seeing all the deer, especially the ones with neat stories. But I probably won't be going again. Once was good for me. Too many wranglers, people in one room, and too many country folk. Lets not even discuss the guy from Texas who shows rattlesnakes. I couldnt even look at them. All I could think about was how insane he must be. I mean, what did his wife think when he came home one day and said "honey, we're going on the road to show rattlers."

Anyway, I did enjoy seeing the new camero!! It was great to look at since we probably wont be driving one anytime soon!

4.) Its already been 7months of marriage! Wow, its flown by. I'm about ready to revisit one of my first posts "14 things i've learned about marriage". I've got a few to add to the list.

5.) I'm cold. I'm tired of being cold. I'm actually happy January went so fast b/c I'm cold. I'm tired of being cold.

6.) And last but not least, I listed a new house. Its a friend of ours and its a beautiful home. You can see pictures on realtor.com. The home has 4 bedrooms and is listed for $185,000. But if you are looking for something different, call me and I'll see what I can find.

I guess I'm going to go ahead and start on February's posts. I usually end up behind.

Finally...

Chrismas Pictures!!

My "woodsy" tree complete with cranberries and brown satin ribbon from Carter's Gallery & Gifts and pinecones and limbs from our own backyard. (We may rethink the pinecones next year b/c a certain puppy kept taking them off of the tree.)

Aprons I had made for the girls, aren't they cute! This year my goal was to do my Christmas shopping here in town. I didn't get it all, but I did about 75% locally, so that was pretty good. The aprons above and mom's bag all came from Creative Sensations. (located across from Go South)

Holli's 50 year old cookie jar came from Resurrections Antique Mall on the square.
Next year, and I need a head start, I would like to do more of my shopping Downtown and encourage everyone else to visit all of our new shops that have opened up this past year and spend your money locally.

A Merry Christmas

I intended today to post pictures of Christmas with my brand new camera I received from my DH, but its not wanting to load onto the computer, or I'm not doing it right. Probably the 2nd. So I will come back and post some pictures later. But, we had a wonderful first married Christmas this year, and I am so blessed to have such wonderful husband, family and friends to share it with. I didn't do a lot of decorating this year, but I'm pretty proud of my "woodland" tree (pic to come) and next year I hope to get started a little sooner on my decorations and do what I had intended to do, instead of just being done with it because that was about the 5th (and last) tree I was going to decorate. I hope everyone also had a wonderful Christmas and I hope 2009 will be a Blessed New Year for you and your family!
